Junior Micah Voorhis from Tipton, In., received the 2014 Director’s Award for service and dedication to Eastern Kentucky University's PGA Golf Management program for the academic year. He received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards ceremony in April.

The director’s award is given to the student who embodies the meaning of service and leadership in the PGA Golf Management program.  The student shows dedication through continuous hard work, dependability and ability to go above and beyond for the program and its students.

According to PGA/GM director Kim Kincer, “Micah is a very passionate young man who has been involved in every aspect of PGA GM. He is a great player of the game, an excellent student, and is always willing to volunteer his time when we are conducting an event. About a year and a half ago, he hit a bump in the road and distanced himself from his peers and PGA GM activities. He recommitted himself and the last year and half he has been the model PGM student. He represents our program incredibly well!"
