Kim Kincer, a native of Lexington, KY, has been Director of PGA Golf Management at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) since August of 2005. EKU is one of 18 universities accredited by the PGA of America, and Kincer was the first female to direct a program.
Before EKU, Kincer spent eight years as Associate/Assistant Director of PGM at Methodist University. Kincer coached Methodist University’s Women’s Golf team to five consecutive NCAA Division III National Championships, was NCAA National Coach of the Year (2001), 3-time NCAA Regional Coach of the Year, and a 4-time Golfweek Collegiate Coach of the Year. Kincer was inducted into the Methodist University Athletic Hall of Fame in November of 2012.
A golf professional since 1986, and eight years as Head Golf Professional for Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Parks and Recreation Department, she is a Class A member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division. Her committee service includes the LPGA Club Professional Advisory Committee; the PGA of America National Education Committee; the PGA of America National Education Task Force and the PGA of America National Scholarship Committee.
She has also served as a university accreditation/evaluation team member for the PGA of America. Following a B.A. degree in Communication Arts with a Journalism concentration from the University of Cincinnati where she was a 4-year letter winner on the Lady Bearcat Golf team, she completed a M.S. degree, Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University. Kincer wrote a chapter entitled “Coach-Athlete Relations” for She Can Coach (2005) and contributed to the LPGA Business Manual.
