EKU PGA/GM Hosts Summer Junior Golf Program
EKU's PGA Golf Management program, in partnership with the University Club at Arlington, recently conducted their 2015 Summer Junior Program at the Colonel Golf and Learning Center. Twenty-five golf juniors, ranging in age from 5 to 16, from the University Club at Arlington participated in the week long program.
Campers were exposed to all aspects of the game and concluded the week by playing in a scramble at Arlington. Program coordinator Tyler Caviness said, “With a group that diverse in age, it was important to have activities that were age appropriate. In addition to golf instruction, we played a variety of games that were not golf related to keep everyone engaged and active. We want juniors to develop a passion for golf and that is done by having fun.”
Eastern Kentucky University is one of only 19 PGA Accredited Universities in the country offering PGA Golf Management.
