EKU PGM Students Receive PGA Scholarship
Join us in congratulating two EKU PGA Golf Management (PGM) students for receiving the PGA REACH 2020-2021 PGA WORKS Golf Management University Scholarship! Sophomore Mark Howard (pictured on left) and incoming freshman, Cole Carrigan (pictured on right) were among the 10 students selected among all 18 PGA Golf Management Universities to receive this award.
Mark and Cole will each receive an $8,000 scholarship that will aid their education at EKU. This scholarship is designed to improve the recruitment and retention of talented and motivated students from diverse backgrounds that are pursuing PGA Membership through PGA Golf Management University Programs.
Mark, from Lexington, Kentucky completed his first year in the program and is working at Greenbrier Golf & Country Club for his first internship. As an All-NWC golfer at Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, North Carolina, Cole will be joining the PGM Class of 2024 in August.
“Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal, and demonstrated active participation in the game of golf.”
The EKU PGA Golf Management staff is excited for Mark and Cole as this scholarship will supplement their education as they pursue PGA Membership and their B.B.A. in Marketing. Congratulations Mark and Cole for receiving this recognition and scholarship!
