EKU PGM Students Recieve PGA WORKS Scholarship for the 2022-2023 Academic Year

Mark and Lydia

Join us in congratulating two EKU PGA Golf Management (PGM) students for receiving the PGA REACH 2022-2023 PGA WORKS Golf Management University Scholarship! Sophomore Mark Howard (pictured on left) and incoming freshman, Lydia Pils (pictured on right) were among the 10 students selected among all 18 PGA Golf Management Universities to receive this award.

Mark and Lydia will each receive an $8,000 scholarship that will aid their education at EKU. This scholarship is designed to improve the recruitment and retention of talented and motivated students from diverse backgrounds that are pursuing PGA Membership through PGA Golf Management University Programs.

Mark, from Lexington, Kentucky completed his first year in the program and is working at Greenbrier Golf & Country Club for his first internship. Lydia Pils, from Gainesville, Georgia has joined us as a freshman with our incoming class cohort for 2022-2023.

“Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal, and demonstrated active participation in the game of golf.”

The EKU PGA Golf Management staff is excited for Mark and Lydia as this scholarship will supplement their education as they pursue PGA Membership and their B.B.A. in Marketing. Congratulations Mark and Lydia for receiving this recognition and scholarship!
