EKU's PGA Golf Management Opens the Fall 2011 Semester

EKU's PGA Golf Management Program opens the Fall 2011 semester by welcoming returning golf professional students as well as incoming students during their kick-off PGA Golf Management Student Association meeting. Good weather awaits the weekend opening Welcome Back Scramble tournament with around 70 students playing.

Now in its sixth year, 102 students are actively enrolled in the program - including these 37 new students:

Housed in the new Business and Technology Center, the program was accredited by the Professional Golf Association in 2006 and is one of EKU's signature programs.

The 4 1/2-year bachelor of business administration program gives students the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills through extensive classroom studies, cooperative education experiences and player development. Students graduate with a major in marketing with a professional golf management option. The program is directed by Kim Kincer, a member of the Ladies Professional Golfers Association (LPGA) who guided Eastern through the PGA accreditation process, and the first female PGA/PGM director in the nation.
