Mark Howard, Indivdual in the PGA Works Collegiate Tournament
PGA Golf Management is proud to announce that one of our very own students played in the prestigious PGA Works Collegiate tournament at the Union League Liberty Hill and The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale in Philadelphia, PA. Mark Howard is one of EKU PGA Golf Managemen'ts best and brightest. He is the recipient of several scholarships including the PGA Works Scholarship, Rodney Ratliff, and the Patterson Scholarship. Mark is an accomplished student and is on par to graduate in 2023.
The PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC) was created in 1986 to highlight competitive golf programs at the most underserved and underrepresented Minority-Serving Institutions in the country and educate and inspire student-athletes to pursue career opportunities in the business of golf and beyond. Mark placed 24th with a score of 249 over 54 holes. This was the first time EKU sent a student to represent our PGA Golf Management Program.
Mark also represented EKU at the PGA Annual Meeting last fall (Fall 2021) in Milwaukee, WI. Continuing his work experience and education, you can catch Mark at Olympia Fields in Chicago, IL. He will be completing his final 3-month internship and will return for the Fall 2022 semester to finish his studies. Mark continues to be a great student and we cannot wait to see him graduate and become a great golf professional!
