In memory of Tom Giacchini

Eastern Kentucky University is mourning the passing of the volunteer assistant coach to the Men's golf team, Tom "Geo" Giacchini.

Born on Dec. 5, 1957 in Schenectady, New York, Giacchini was the manager of Boone's Trace National Golf Club.
 
Giacchini passed away on Tuesday.  He served as an official volunteer assistant coach for the men's golf program since 2014. He is also the father of 2016 PGA Golf Management graduate, Stefanie Giacchini, PGA. Tom was Stef's biggest supporter and inspiration to pursue a career in golf, instilling her love for the game.

Tom has impacted so many lives through the game of golf within the PGA Golf Management program, EKU, the Boone's Trace community, and so many others. For all those who knew Tom, he will be greatly missed.
