PGM Director, Kincer Receives Dr. Jack Dyer Recognition
PGA Golf Management is kicking off the 2020-2021 academic year on a very positive note! Kim Kincer, Director of EKU PGA Golf Management, has been awarded the 2020 Jack L. Dyer Excellence in Teaching Award in the School of Business.
In a note to School of Business faculty and staff, Dean Tom Erekson made the following announcement:
“I am pleased to announce that Kim Kincer, Director of our PGA Golf Management Program, is the 2020 recipient of the Jack L. Dyer Excellence in Teaching Award. Evidence of her teaching effectiveness may be seen in her very strong peer reviews of instruction, student evaluations, and the great job placement and career success of PGM students. Ms. Kincer’s teaching is guided by this principle: “If it enables students to learn, do it!” She encourages students to take ownership of their education, holds them to high standards, and mentors them throughout their PGM studies. Ms. Kincer’s student comments reflect that she is a servant leader in the classroom, leading students by her example of hard work and desire for the students to learn and grow. They rise to her high expectations and ultimately to their success. As a selection committee observed, “If we measure teaching effectiveness by positive impact on students, Kim is more than deserving of recognition for what she achieves both inside and outside of the classroom.”
Congratulations on a well-deserved achievement!
