PGM Students Battle It Out in the Kincer Cup

Kincer Cup team

Friday, March 28th, 2014, marked the beginning of Kincer Cup hosted by EKU’s own PGA Golf Management (PGA/GM) program.

The Kincer Cup is named after EKU’s PGA/GM director Kim Kincer.

This two-day event allows 20 of the top point earning students from both the fall and spring semester tour events to battle for bragging rights in a 36-hole, North vs. South team match-up.

The North team was led by faculty member and Captain Ross Lingenfelder, player development coordinator of PGA golf management, along with Assistant Captain Kevin Cumiskey, instructor of marketing.

The rival South team was led by faculty member and Captain Tyler Caviness, program coordinator of PGA golf management, along with Assistant Captain Mark Howard, associate director of campus recreation.

South led the first day 4-2, eventually locking in the victory on the second day with a score of 13-5.

The members of the South team each received a piece of crystal and bragging rights for the next year as a prize for their triumphant win over the North.
