PGM Director, Kincer Receives Dr. Jack Dyer Recognition


PGA Golf Management is kicking off the 2020-2021 academic year on a very positive note!  Kim Kincer, Director of EKU PGA Golf Management, has been awarded the 2020 Jack L. Dyer Excellence in Teaching Award in the School of Business. 

In a note to School of Business faculty and staff, Dean Tom Erekson made the following announcement:

Join us in congratulating two EKU PGA Golf Management (PGM) students for receiving the PGA REACH 2020-2021 PGA WORKS Golf Management University Scholarship! Sophomore Mark Howard (pictured on left) and incoming freshman, Cole Carrigan (pictured on right) were among the 10 students selected among all 18 PGA Golf Management Universities to receive this award.

For the 12th consecutive year, EKU’s PGA Professional Golf Management Program participated in the Jones cup in St. Lucie, Florida.

John Hines Memorial Scholarship

Hines Scholarship

The John Hines Memorial Scholarship was founded to honor the late John Hines, PGA. Hines was the Head Golf Professional at University Club ar Arlington before being diagnosed with ALS. During his time at Arlington, Hines wanted to establish a scholarship for EKU PGA Golf Management students as he saw the value in investing in aspiring PGA Professionals.

Caviness Receives 2019 Horton Smith Award

Each year the PGA Horton Smith Award is given to recognize a PGA professional and a model educator of PGA professionals. The 2019 Kentucky PGA Section (KPGA) recipient of the Horton Smith Award is EKU's Tyler Caviness.

Each year the PGA of America hosts an Annual Meeting for the Association. In conjunction with the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting held November 6-9, a University Program Leadership Session was conducted at the Renaissance Indian Wells in Indian Wells, California.
