PGM March Madness to support EKU Relay for Life

March Madness comes to EKU's PGA Golf Management!  On Friday, March 13, PGA/GM students will host a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament with all proceeds going to EKU Relay for Life.

The event will be held in the Begley Gym on the EKU Campus with the first game starting at 3:00 p.m. and guaranteed play of three games.

EKU PGA/GM Fellowship Food Drive

Eastern Kentucky University’s own Professional Golf Management program is hosting a holiday season food drive.

The donations go to support a local food pantry. Families in need will receive the food to enjoy.

To donate, take all cans to the collection container in the PGM Suite in the EKU Business and Technology Center, BTC 084.

EKU's Jones Cup Team Finishes Seventh in National Championship

Five PGA Golf Management students competed in the 2014 Jones Cup National Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on November 4-5.

EKU's team brought home a seventh place finish competing against 90 other students from 18 universities across the nation. Eastern Kentucky's No. 7 Team Score was 318-310 — 628 with individual scores of:

It used to be a man’s game, but now it is most certainly a woman’s world.

At least, it is for the young women of EKU’s Professional Golf Management program.

Three students from the PGA Golf Management program at Eastern Kentucky University had the distinct opportunity to volunteer for the PGA Championship at Valhalla in Louisville, Ky., in August; Erik Charron, class of 2015, hailing from Lexington, Ky.; Joshua Griffin, also class of 2015, from Shelbyville, Ky.; and Michael Carrico, class of 2016, from Georgetown, Ky.

Nicki Henry

Nicki Henry is a senior Golf Management major at EKU. She hails from Chagrin Falls, Ohio and is a member of the Women’s Golf team. Nicki is a shining example of a student athlete at EKU. She maintains a 4.0 grade point average while managing a demanding academic and athletic schedule.

Austin Molen, a PGA/Golf Management junior from Florence, Ky., recently participated in a fundraising event hosted by his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Harpster wins Elbert Player of the Year Award for Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, PGA Golf Management student Mikal Harpster was awarded the Dr. Norb Elbert Player of the Year Award.

Harpster, a senior from Warrenton, Mo., received the 2013-14 trophy at a recent awards gathering from Ross Lingenfelder, PGA/GM Player Development Coordinator.

PGA/GM 2014 Director's Award announced

Junior Micah Voorhis from Tipton, In., received the 2014 Director’s Award for service and dedication to Eastern Kentucky University's PGA Golf Management program for the academic year. He received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards ceremony in April.

2014 S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award announced

EKU's PGA Golf Management program is pleased to announce that Kelcy Diseroad has been selected as recipient of the S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award for 2013-2014. Kelcy is a senior Marketing, PGA Golf Management Option major from Martinville, In. She received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards ceremony in April.
