Three students from the PGA Golf Management program at Eastern Kentucky University had the distinct opportunity to volunteer for the PGA Championship at Valhalla in Louisville, Ky., in August; Erik Charron, class of 2015, hailing from Lexington, Ky.; Joshua Griffin, also class of 2015, from Shelbyville, Ky.; and Michael Carrico, class of 2016, from Georgetown, Ky.

Nicki Henry

Nicki Henry is a senior Golf Management major at EKU. She hails from Chagrin Falls, Ohio and is a member of the Women’s Golf team. Nicki is a shining example of a student athlete at EKU. She maintains a 4.0 grade point average while managing a demanding academic and athletic schedule.

Harpster wins Elbert Player of the Year Award for Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, PGA Golf Management student Mikal Harpster was awarded the Dr. Norb Elbert Player of the Year Award.

Harpster, a senior from Warrenton, Mo., received the 2013-14 trophy at a recent awards gathering from Ross Lingenfelder, PGA/GM Player Development Coordinator.

PGA/GM 2014 Director's Award announced

Junior Micah Voorhis from Tipton, In., received the 2014 Director’s Award for service and dedication to Eastern Kentucky University's PGA Golf Management program for the academic year. He received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards ceremony in April.

2014 S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award announced

EKU's PGA Golf Management program is pleased to announce that Kelcy Diseroad has been selected as recipient of the S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award for 2013-2014. Kelcy is a senior Marketing, PGA Golf Management Option major from Martinville, In. She received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards ceremony in April.

Three students from the PGA Golf Management (PGA/GM) program at Eastern Kentucky University received internships at the 2014 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga., from April 7–13.

Tyler Brightwell, a junior from Georgetown, In., interned for Peter Millar, a high-quality sportswear designer, specializing in golf attire.

PGM students go above and beyond supporting Relay for Life

Friday April 11, 2014, Eastern’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) hosted the Relay for Life fundraiser on campus to benefit the American Cancer Society.

This event gives participants the opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember those who have been lost, and raise funds and awareness to help fight back.

Friday, March 28th, 2014, marked the beginning of Kincer Cup hosted by EKU’s own PGA Golf Management (PGA/GM) program.

The Kincer Cup is named after EKU’s PGA/GM director Kim Kincer.
