PGA Golf Management Advisory Council

The purpose of the Professional Golf Management Advisory Board (PGM AB) is to directly supplement the program and its students. Our goal is help produce industry-ready PGA Professionals, prepared to tackle the challenges of the industry and grow the game of golf. Specifically, the EKU PGA Golf Management Advisory Board will:

  • Program Support – Provide advice and support to the College, Department, and Program in conjunction with the PGA Golf Management Program.
  • Networking – To provide alumni, faculty, and students a formal outlet for development of co-op, internship, and graduate job opportunities from board members.
  • Communication – Supply a tool for enhanced communication between board members, alumni, students, and faculty.
  • Mentor Program – Implement an informal channel in which students can seek counsel and advice from alumni and board members.
  • Recruitment – Utilizing knowledge and connections to recruit the best & brightest students into EKU PGA Golf Management Program.
  • Scholarships – To encourage the contribution of funds for academic scholarships and activities for students in the Professional Golf Management Program.
  • Professional Development – Continue the growth, development, and professionalism of the EKU PGA Golf Management students. Furthermore to support faculty and staff through enhancement initiatives.
  • Honor & Award – Recognize individuals for outstanding achievements and service in students and alumnus of the EKU PGA Golf Management Program.
  • Academic Support – Arrange and conduct student workshops & seminars to augment the EKU College of Business & PGA of America curriculum.

These activities help produce industry-ready PGA Professionals, prepared to tackle the challenges of the industry and grow the game of golf.
